Rockaway Beach Bus Returning On May 26
Memorial Day Weekend hasn’t even arrived yet, but we’re already excited about what this summer has offer. The Rockaway Beach Surf Club is returning with an all new Southern food-inspired menu. The Fourth of July fireworks are going to take place above the East River. Fort Tilden is finally open again after nearly two long years.
And now, we have another exciting nugget of summer-related news: The Beach Bus, that all-inclusive ride to the Rockaways, is making its triumphant return on May 26.
Via Brokelyn: NYC Beach Bus will begin making its rounds starting on Memorial Day with a few changes. That surprisingly cheap $12 ticket will now get you two cans of Rad, a new summer beer from Red Hook’s Sixpoint Brewery. Alternatively, there will be free iced tea from Runa Tea for more responsible riders. And finally, the bus will be picking up at new locations:
- Williamsburg: Metropolitan Avenue and Marcy Avenue in front of the Capital One bank
- Park Slope: Pacific Street and Flatbush Avenue
There are also whisperings that the bus may expand to Fire Island and Robert Moses Beach, but all that’s still in the works.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow and can be purchased here.
