It’s been a couple of months since we brought you the Southerner’s Guide To Brooklyn, but rest assured, we’ve still got plenty of memberships to give out.
Today, Bedford + Bowery came across a new video from the folks behind Rockaway Beach Surf Club and as it turns out, this summer they’re looking to compete for our love with a brand new Southern food-inspired menu.
The RB Surf Club hasn’t been around that long, but they’ve already made a huge impact on the community, helping with Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts in their neighborhood and hosting Tiki Disco’s end-of-summer bash in their events space last year.
This summer, they’re coming back even stronger. The owners have collaborated with the people from Urban Rustic and Lodge (the same folks behind the menu at The Well) and put together a mouthwatering selection of food influenced by Southern culture.
Highlights include Southern Peach ceviche, grilled watermelon, smoked Carolina-style pulled pork shoulder, smoked BBQ tofu (for our vegan brothers & sisters), shrimp po’boys, breakfast burritos and something called a grilled triple cheese that is giving us serious feels.
The new menu will debut on May 9, but you’re more than welcome to get a $10 preview this Sunday at the Taste of Rockaway food crawl.
Until then, check out this amazing hype video the restaurant and bar put together:
