There’s An Entire Festival Devoted To Rosé Happening This Weekend
Look, it’s barely July and the city has already experienced the epitome of a hot, humid and hellish New York summer. Along with many of my companions, the only respite I’ve found in this unbearable haze has been pink and cold–yes, I am talking about the restorative, healing properties of rosé. Of course, this highly quaffable wonderful summer beverage is available at your local wine store for a couple bucks–or more, depending on your taste–but why settle for a bottle at home when you could attend an entire festival devoted to rosé?

Yes, it’s true, this weekend is the annual Pinknic festival, a mini music fest and picnic by the founders of La Nuit En Rose centered around the celebration and consumption of rosé. The festival will be held on Governors Island–not to be confused with Governors Ball held on Randall’s Island–and tickets are still available for the event.
Along with a plethora of rosé wine from Château d’Esclans, Moët & Chandon, and Chandon, picnic baskets prepared by celebrity chef Chris Santos will also be available for an additional charge, but take a look at the goods below:
