The Best Halloween Parties in Brooklyn and Beyond
If you didn't run into or make out with a Nathan Fielder, an Elizabeth Holmes, a Kelly, a Molly, or a Zohran Mamdani, did you even Halloween this year, bro?
If Halloween in New York historically feels like it’s on steroids, this year’s celebrations—which extend up to and over a full weekend and are then capped by NYC’s preeminent holiday, the marathon—could end up feeling particularly enhanced, like bodega-sourced peptides with a Red Bull floater. To aid your travels—spiritually, geographically, and metaphysically—we’ve taken it upon ourselves to round up some of the best Halloween parties, starting mid-week, running straight through the high holiday itself on Saturday, and, in one particular case, right into Monday morning.
So get your rest in; this year’s programming is truly on another level. Julio Torres‘ twisted ball returns, but there are new contenders abound, like events from Singers, The Sultan Room, and Hyperallergic. And this is to say nothing of the new crop of pop culturally-attuned costume inspirations we expect to see in the wild this year, thanks to You Can See Everything, Kelly Clarkson’s animatronic bird fit, and a mayor who’s, so far and somehow, one of the city’s least controversial figures at the moment. After all, if you didn’t run into or make out with a Nathan Fielder, an Elizabeth Holmes, a Kelly, a Molly, or a Zohran Mamdani, did you even Halloween this year, bro?

7 p.m.
If you have a furry friend or just want to see dogs in costumes—and you either missed or saw last weekend’s Great Pupkin competition and need another dose—head to Vacations Bar for the Bushwick-based pet store’s 15th annual dog costume contest. This year boasts Tito’s Vodka as a sponsor filled with drink specials, pet portraits, goodie bags, and plenty of pups, with everything benefitting the Badass Animal Rescue.
Dark Wave Night @ Donna Cocktail Club
7 p.m.
The West Village cocktail spot promises a night of spirit-forward drinks and dark wave tunes to sway to.
Hyperallergic Halloween Party @ Oberon
7 p.m.

Julio Torres Presents: The Cursed Amulet III @ Elsewhere
9 p.m.
The comedian Julio Torres is throwing his 3rd annual Cursed Amulet party this year at Bushwick club Elsewhere. Also known as “the People’s Met Gala,” this year’s theme is “That’s Not My Son. I Don’t Know Who That Little Boy Is In There, But I Am Telling You That Is Not My Son,” which is sure to inspire the wild and wacky costumes that Torres’s party is known for. There’ll likely be special performances, DJs, and the midnight costume contest. Be sure to wear your finest.

DYKE-o-Ween @ The Sultan Room
8:30 PM
Night One of The Sultan Room’s Halloweekeend programming is a multi-room (and roof) banger promising to be the “spookiest, sluttiest dance party of the season,” with music provided by DJ Ultra violet, DJ Purr, DJ Kye, and more. You’ll just have to pull up to find out if it lives up to the mission.
Slizzween @ The Chocolate Factory
9 p.m.
There may be more than a dozen hosts for this bash, but make no mistake: this is Cash Cobain’s Halloween revue, and he apparently takes the holiday very seriously. The musical offerings are obviously copious, but in addition to the “hosts,” you can hear sets from five different DJs and potentially take home $1,000 in cash if you win over the judges (Zoe Spencer and Anna Mac) in the costume contest.

New York Night Train’s 21st Annual Haunted Hop: Devil’s Night Edition @ Knockdown Center
7 p.m.
Jonathan Toubin’s beloved and roaming party is embracing the season’s spirit with an absolutely wild line-up on Friday night. It’s a nine-hour “Haunted Hop,” filling every square inch of the massive Maspeth venue’s floor plan (inside and out) with tricks, treats, freaks, and vinyl geeks. Expect a lot of music, analag (with performances from The Lemon Twigs, Swamp Dog, Jacuzzi Boys, and Toubin, of course) and digital (via Moogstar, the synth scientist behind the high-voltage grooves of Zapp, Cameo, and other electro-funk luminaries). There will also be art installations, a costume contest, nearly a dozen more DJs, all against a backdrop of 16mm reels of horror classics screening throughout the space.
Devil’s Disco @ The Seneca
9 p.m.
The Ridgewood haunt promises a spooky dance party with a promise of a free shot for anyone that shows up in a costume. There’ll be drink and food specials (get the smashburger, you won’t regret it) and plenty of dancing.
Halloween Deux @ Deux Chats
10 p.m.
The Williamsburg cocktail bar is doing double duty over Halloween weekend. First, there’s Hallows Eve on 10/30 with an Indie Sleaze dress code promising tricks, treats, and dancing. Then, on the holiday proper, they’ll host a costume-mandatory dance party.

Halloween 2026 @ Paradise Lost
5 p.m.
The punk tiki bar in the East Village promises an all-night Halloween rager up until 3am with astrology readings, tattoos, and a costume contest with a winner announced at midnight. Judging it’s their favorite season, it’ll be a bash not to miss.
Fruit Juice: Witches Brew @ The Sultan Room
9 p.m.
What do you mean you’re celebrating gay Halloween? The Sultan Room in Bushwick is hosting the Halloween edition of Brooklyn-based queer party Fruit Juice with a whole lineup of DJs, dancers, tattoos, and tarot. Don’t be surprised if you witness something scary and sexy here.
Til Death Analog Party @ Til Death
9 p.m.
The outdoor space is celebrating their sixth anniversary with an all day event from 9am-2pm, an intermission, and then closing the night out from 6pm-11pm. The day will be filled with DJs, tattoos, snacks, and drinks. The most exciting part of their celebration is the theme—Analog! The venue stresses that if you are there on the 31st, there are absolutely no phones allowed. So be brave, (tis the spooky season, after all) and make some new friends.
2026 Halloween Party @ Film Noir Cinema
9 p.m.
If something more low-key is better fit for your Halloween agenda (and general bandwidth), head to Film Noir Cinema in Greenpoint for their annual Halloween party. First, there’s a reception and then a screening of a secret horror movie. Costumes are highly encouraged, of course.
Singers Haunted Prom @ Sugar Hill Supper Club
10 p.m.
The Bed-Stuy gay bar is known for their incredible events—hosting everything from Chi Osse-led NBA Finals watch parties with the mayor to surprise DJ sets from Grimes—and this year they are taking over the iconic Sugar Hill Supper Club down the street for two floors of debauchery, drinks, installations, and DJs. The first floor will be a “Haunted High School Dance Fantasia,” while upstairs transforms into the Singers Blood Lounge and Cabaret for the night. Channel your inner Carrie White for maximum vibes.
Golden Record NYC Presents: Dawn of the DJs II @ Green Room
10 p.m.
One more for the degenerate dance floor junkies, who will certainly find their fix somewhere amongst the forty-some-odd acts on the bill and the 24-plus hours of continuous music at the Green Room and a secret location from Saturday night, straight through Monday morning it seems. So if you’d rather dance through the reliably colossal knot the marathon ties the city into on Sunday (and who could blame you, really?) here’s as good an option as any.
