Hunter Fisher Farmer: Which One Are You?


In his wonderful book, The Omnivore’s Dilemma, Michael Pollan posits three categories of evolved human type, different sets of learned behavior that over millennia have burrowed deep into our animal brains, informing who we are and how we act: The Hunter, The Fisher, The Farmer.
Now, of course, everyone in Brooklyn has taken this idea literally, and dresses as such. Well, as Auden once said, “in order to be something, first you have to pretend to be it.”
