Café Grumpy Will Replace A Starbucks In Grand Central Terminal
The system works…again!
In a Freaky Friday-esque turn of events, a mom-and-pop-type business is replacing a major chain. In this case, the chain is the Starbucks in Grand Central Terminal and the heroic local business is Brooklyn’s own Café Grumpy.
The move comes after a decision by the MTA to replace certain pesky chains with “locally owned small businesses.” And, surprisingly, the MTA is living up to that promise.
The new Café Grumpy, which will be located at 89 E. 42nd Street near the Lexington Passage, should be open by May.
