Announcing the Lineup for Taste Talks Chicago’s All-Star BBQ
We recently announced the truly astounding lineup for Taste Talks Brooklyn’s second annual All-Star BBQ. But not to be outdone, Taste Talks Chicago just released its own highly impressive roster–a veritable “Who’s Who” lineup of Midwest cuisine, featuring a dream team of chefs from all around North America (of course, a number of top local chefs from Chicago will be participating as well, in order to show visitors how the Windy City really rolls). Taking place from 1-4pm and 5-8pm on Sunday, October 5th, here’s who’ll be behind the grills and smokers at the highly anticipated event in Chicago’s bustling Palmer Square!
Alberta, Canada’s Connie DeSousa and John Jackson, executive Co-Chefs of CHARCUT Roast House, one of Canada’s Top 50 Restaurants according to Huffington Post.
Toronto’s Matty Matheson from Parts & Labour. One of the youngest chefs at the BBQ and co-founder of successful Group of Seven Chefs.
New York’s Amanda Cohen from Dirt Candy. Named “Best New Vegetarian Restaurant” by Time Out New York.
Philadelphia’s Marc Vetri from Vetri Ristoranti. A James Beard Award Winner for Best Chef in the Mid-Atlantic.
San Francisco/New York’s Danny Bowien of Mission Chinese and Mission Cantina. A James Beard Award Winner for Rising Star Chef, the Brooklyn Taste Talks curator is heading to Chicago to throw down in this All Star BBQ too!
Lee Woolen from Boka. Previously named ‘Breakout Chef of the Year’ by Time Out Chicago.
Stephanie Izard from Girl and the Goat. A James Beard Award Winner for Best Chef in the Great Lakes region.
Edward Kim from Mott Street, which was named a best new restaurant by both Chicago Magazine and Bon Appétit.
Jason Hammel from Lula Café. A recent recipient of StarChefs.com’s Rising Stars award.
Rick Bayless from Frontera Grill. A Chicago legend and master of Mexican Cuisine, a multiple James Beard award winner several times over.
Paul Kahan from Blackbird and avec. Curator of Chicago Taste Talks and a multiple time James Beard winner.
