Siudy Garrido Flamenco Company Is Back With Moody and Brilliant Delights
You’ve switched up your usual lunch order, sparked joy in your closet, and rejiggered your commute. The next step in harnessing more excitement? Your creative consumption.
In our humble opinion, streaming the latest flicks and audio books is the bare minimum for cultural expression. So, what else can you do? Well, the time is nigh for a night out on the town.
Instead of the same old dinner and drinks routine, step into something fresh and new with the return of the Siudy Garrido Flamenco Company. The dance company pioneers a contemporary vision of Flamenco while weaving in moody artistry and dazzling experiences. And, the company is coming back to New York on November 6.
Siudy Garrido, the principal dancer, choreographer, 2022 Latin GRAMMY® nominee, and artistic director of the company blends together mesmerizing footwork, modern body movement, and expressive sequences to create a majestic show. Brooklynites can discover Garrido’s newest work, Flamenco Intimo, which is her contemporary vision of Flamenco dance.
Flamenco Intimo showcases a vibrant performance dripping with excitement with luxe costumes, stunning original music by the award-winning guitarist Jose Luis de la Paz, and electrifying flamenco movements and solos by Siudy Garrido herself and the company.
During this one-show-only performance, 11 artists will grace the stage for a vivid evening of flamenco. Renowned musicians include Adolfo Herrera on percussion, vocalists Manuel Gago, Ismael Fernandez , Jose Luis de la Paz on the guitar, and Juan Parrilla.
Catch the show on November 6 for one night only at the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre. Buy tickets here. Prices begin at $44 members/$50 non-members.
