As America’s hottest test kitchen, Brooklyn has become an international epicenter of the food movement. The Future Food Expo at Taste Talks Brooklyn is one-of-a-kind exhibition that showcases the future of food products, companies, media, and innovators from both our home borough and around the world.
The Expo will take place from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, September 9th at the Williamsburg Hotel, and is free with an RSVP. Get to know some of the Future Food Exhibitors below—and get excited to talk, learn, sample, and mingle with companies who are revolutionizing the food world.
Cabot Creamery Co-operative
Cabot Creamery Co-operative has been in continuous operation in Vermont since 1919, and makes a full line of cheeses, Greek yogurt, sour cream, cottage cheese and butter. Widely known as makers of “The World’s Best Cheddar,” Cabot is owned by the 1,100 dairy farm families of Agri-Mark, the Northeast’s premier dairy cooperative, with farms located throughout New England and upstate New York.
Kellogg’s®
Kellogg’s® is challenging foodies everywhere to stir up their imaginations (and cereal bowls) by experimenting with unexpected ingredients and flavors. Chefs Angie Mar of The Beatrice Inn, Chef Floyd Cardoz of Paowalla, and Chef Dale Talde of Atlantic Social will come together at noon during the Expo for a cereal-inspired throw down.
Watch as these talented chefs compete to reimagine a bowl of cereal using their favorite Kellogg’s® products and ingredients with unique taste and textures. Then, sample each of the chefs’ unique creations at the Kellogg’s® Cereal Bar for yourself!
teapigs
Set up by Nick and trained tea taster Louise in 2006, the teapigs range covers the best of what tea can be. The UK’s leading super premium tea company set up shop in New York City to preach the whole leaf gospel stateside.
teapigs has a range of 32 whole leaf teas including traditional black teas like english breakfast and darjeeling, punchy herbal infusions, rooibos, green, white, oolong and some adventurous teas – chocolate and mint tea, anyone? They also have a collection of super healthy, premium, organic matcha green teas and a range of “feel-good” teas (all natural, whole leaf teas with functional benefits). You’ll find loose teas (for those that like tea the traditional way), cheeky bundles, teaware and gift sets on their website, too!
teapigs has also been voted “best tea brand” for six years running by independent retailers and have won over 70 great taste awards – their mums are very proud.
