Northside Festival Announces Lineup Additions And Showcases
Northside Festival, the music and innovation festival put on by our parent company, Northside Media Inc., is continuing to expand it’s talent roster, as today saw the rollout of several new performers, along with the reveal of initial showcase and ticketing information for the music portion of the festival.
Big Thief (whose Rough Trade show is already sold out through individual tickets but still accessible for festival badge holders) top the additions, along with Aldous Harding, Bush Tetras, Destruction Unit, and Flock of Dimes, and many more. They join the rest of the already announced festival lineup, including headliners Dirty Projectors, Miguel, Kamasi Washington, and Thursday, whose festival closing show alongside Pup, The Hotelier, and Jeff Rosenstock is already sold out for those without badges. It was also announced that all shows held in McCarren Park will benefit Open Space Alliance for North Brooklyn (OSA), a nonprofit dedicated to building a stronger North Brooklyn by improving 45 parks and playgrounds and getting neighbors involved in their community parks.
Lastly, key press outlets, record labels, and guest curators have aligned themselves with the festival to create their own tightly curated showcase shows. A few highlights include shows curated by Pitchfork and The Creative Independent, as well as a Sacred Bones 10th Anniversary Showcase.
Northside Festival will take place throughout North Brooklyn from June 7-11, and the music portion will commence from June 8-11. Badges are still available here, and individual show tickets can be found here.
