500 Burgers Are Being Given Away (For Free) On Sunday In Bushwick

By Evan Romano

There’s nothing like free stuff. I’m not an energy drink person at all, but when I’m at a music festival or a sporting event, and that energy drink truck shows up and some guy with a backwards fitted hat stuffs one in my hands, you bet I’m going to be drinking it probably within 20 seconds. It’s even better, by that same measure, when the free stuff is stuff that’s actually good, and this weekend there’s a great opportunity to take advantage of that, as Duncan’s Burgers marks its two-and-a-half year anniversary, and a new permanent home inside Dromedary Bar in Bushwick by giving away 500 dry-aged burgers, between 1 pm and midnight (or, until they run out of supplies.)

The burgers are typically only $3.49 a pop, so it’s not like they’re giving away something from the Spotted Pig or anything, but regardless, these are some solid sliders (as Duncan’s website bills it, the burger is ‘the least expensive pasture raised dry aged beef burger in all of New York City’) and, first and foremost, once again: F R E E.  Duncan’s has popped up through the years in a number of different places, but it’s permanent home in Dromedary—one of our favorite places we visited last year—make for a spot absolutely worth a weekend visit.
