Some exciting Valentine’s Day news for people in love with charming music venues: Bushwick’s beloved DIY space Shea Stadium has reopened, according to our friends at Brooklyn Vegan after spending the last three weeks and change closed down.

The space was initially closed after police intervention on January 20th, before the venue announced that it would remain shut down temporarily to ‘plan for the future.’ Booked shows were moved elsewhere, and the plans and future of the venue, generally, were in question (although they constantly assured loyal fans that all would be well). That word proved true last night (2/13), though, as Shea reopened for a show, and looks to be back opened for good now.
