Nice One, Chris Brown (Except No, Not At All)
You may be familiar, if you follow the world of comedy at all, that beloved stand-up comic, Parks and Recreation ensemble standout, and Master of None star, writer, and Emmy winner Aziz Ansari hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time this weekend. It was the first show after Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 45th President of the United States, and, much like the first episode with host Dave Chappelle after the election, Ansari’s monologue mixed humor with some of the heavy political waves that we’re all currently riding.
In one of his jokes, Aziz made the case that not everyone who supports Trump supports everything that he stands for—likening him to noted pop star and piece of shit Chris Brown. “If you think about it, Donald Trump is basically the Chris Brown of politics, and Make America Great Again is basically his “These Hoes Ain’t Loyal.”

Unable to take a joke, Chris Brown responded in the only way, apparently, he knows how: terribly, with an Instagram post referring to Ansari as ‘Aladdin’:

Nice one, dude. Except, if you’re going to be racist (hint: don’t), maybe try getting it right? Because for one, Aladdin isn’t Indian, and secondly, Aziz is from South Carolina. But… nice try? Nah, won’t even go that far. Bad try. Chris Brown, you suck.
Like, for real, why does anyone even put up with him anymore? We have Frank Ocean, The Weeknd, Miguel, Jeremih, Usher, and so many other options for great male R&B, if that’s what floats your boat. Hell, you could even listen to Jason DeRulo. Why waste your time with this guy? What is it that keeps drawing people back? Either way, the point here is that noted asshole Chris Brown did another asshole thing. Go away, Chris Brown.
