Jeremih And Lil Yachty Both Dropped New Projects Last Night
Hope it was a good night’s sleep for hip-hop fans, because while they were down for the count last night, both a veteran of the trade and an up-and-comer dropped new music for their thousands of fans, always salivating for new music.
Jeremih, fresh off the success of last year’s underrated Late Nights–featuring hit singles “Oui” and “Planez”–dropped Late Nights: Europe, a 14-track mixtape mostly produced by frequent collaborator Soundz with guest spots from Ty Dolla $ign and Wiz Khalifa, among others. The R&B star first hinted at the project in USA Today only a few days ago, before releasing it for free late last night.
And while the veteran crooner was releasing a surprise project, one of the most intriguing young artists in the hip-hop game did the same, as 18-year-old Lil Yachty released Summer Songs 2 as an exclusive on Apple Music.

Recently named a part of the 2016 XXL Freshman Class, Atlanta’s Yachty has seen a high profile in the past few months, gaining steam after releasing his first mixtape, Lil Boat in March, and featuring on Chance The Rapper’s “Mixtape” track off Coloring Book. Most recently, you might’ve heard him trading bars with D.R.A.M. on the irresistible summer jam “Broccoli.” The releaser of Summer Songs 2 came after the young MC put out a short Fader film:
