Tomorrow, a new event at New York Distilling Co. in Williamsburg takes care of both activities for you. Whiskey, Waffles & Workshops is your ticket to eating the first meal of your day and crossing names off your holiday shopping list with minimal effort. Plus, instead of generic gifts, you’ll be making your own, with experts on hand to show you, step by step, how to make awesome little presents. And if any of that seems stressful, there’s whiskey, too.
In between munching waffles with toppings and downing whiskey cocktails by Allen Katz, co-founder of New York Distilling Company, make practical gifts that all of your drinking friends will appreciate: coasters. Materials and instructions will be on hand for making two sets, one from corkboard and another from rope. Be awesome and designate both as gifts, or be awesomer and keep one for yourself. Whichever way you go, there’s a wrapping station for the task. It is a veritable one-stop-hub for getting shit done without trying very hard.
