Inside the Studio of Asher Israelow

Asher Israelow
Israelow has a background in architecture, which is apparent in the precision and refinement of his individual pieces, each of which feel like the most finely balanced specimens of their form, or as if they’re blueprints to a better type of furniture. Think: a dark walnut dresser whose clean exterior lines are complemented by beautiful brass inlays in geometric shapes, with brass lines radiating toward the dresser’s edge. Or, think: a delicate ovoid wooden coffee table with speckles of brass scattered across its top, like so many delicate stars fallen from above. Really, think whatever you want. Israelow will already be two steps ahead, making those lofty thoughts into reality.
