A Ranch Grows in Brooklyn

Located in East Williamsburg, The Urban Cowboy is a bed-and-breakfast that seems more like it belongs in… we don’t know, where do cowboys even exist anymore? Montana? Sure. But also, this place is so firmly Brooklyn circa now, not least because of the kitschy names given to each of its rooms (think: Dream Catcher and Vision Quest), and the fact that the owner is the kind of guy who has earnestly described Williamsburg as being the Wild West as recently as 2001. And yet: We can’t help but love that there’s a viable alternative to massive hotels and potentially sketchy Craigslist shares, particularly when it looks this good and serves almond croissants for breakfast.
