Michelin stars are among the most highly coveted awards a restaurant can earn; chefs have been known to actually kill themselves over losing one. This seems excessive! But what do we know. Anyway, the things about those Michelin stars is that they’re usually attached to the kind of restaurants at which it’s possible to spend as much on dinner for two as some people do on groceries for a whole month (and that’s before adding in the cost of a nice bottle of wine). But luckily for those still pretty fixated on eating at a Michelin recommended restaurant, the guide also puts out a list of what they call “Bib Gourmand” restaurants, which bear the distinction of being, well, cheaper than their normal selections, although often not exactly cheap. But whatever! We’ll take what we can get. And in this case, that’s really, really, really good food. Below are the 38 best affordable restaurants in Brooklyn, according to a guide put out by a French tire company!
