Bushwick Nightz: The M Train Also Rises

By Phillip Pantuso

BK20_BUSHWICKNIGHT

IN BUSHWICK NIGHTZ, a collection of short stories about the neighborhood “everyone’s been talking about,” ten writers grapple with what it means to live in Bushwick in 2014 (spoiler: the answerincludes many one-night stands). It’s an occasionally ridiculous, occasionally fascinating time-capsule of a very specific time and place, where the lackluster can turn to the sublime upon meeting the right person, or finding the right drug, or just feeling the right feeling. The details are specific, the themes universal.
