Brooklyn Kite Festival Is This Saturday
It’s Monday, which means that the only way to get through the long stretch of work week ahead of us is planning for next weekend. You’re in luck: The fourth annual Brooklyn Kite Festival kicks off next Saturday.
The event, which mostly consists of flying kites, watching kites fly in front of the Manhattan skyline, and attempting not to hum that kite-related song from Mary Poppins, kicks off at Brooklyn Bridge Park on 11 am and goes until 3 pm. The event tends to get crowded, so go early and bring your best flier. Kites and build-your-own-kite kits will also be available for purchase on the premises. For more information, check out the Brooklyn Bridge Park site.
