Williamsburg’s Next Cool New Bar Will Also Serve Pumpkin Spice Lattes, Jazz CDs
Great news: A part-cafe, part-bar that also sells collaborative Norah Jones albums is coming to Williamsburg!
The cafe will reportedly be called Starbucks, and has just applied for a license to sell beer and wine, reports The Brooklyn Paper, and may even offer a limited-run “reserve” coffee line exclusively for the forthcoming shop at N. 7th St between Bedford Ave and Berry St in order to compete with the other upscale cafes in the neighborhood, like Cafe Grumpy and Budin.
Word has it that the menu will be mostly seasonal, with festive roasts for autumn and winter, plus a selection of pastries flown in from exotic, unknowable lands–things like Everything Bagels, in which “everything” includes cardboard, and Pumpkin Bread, which is made of mostly pizza grease.
Should you be curious about the menu or general atmosphere, the coffee house already has a few other locations, most of which are located in various airports and Times Square.
