5 Questions With: Little Racer

“5 Questions With” is a series spotlighting some of Brooklyn’s most exciting and influential creatives. (You can explore our archive of picks here.)
Little Racer is a group of four cool dudes who make very cool guitar pop. They say it’s meant to capture “the strum of eggs and orange juice” (or maybe just Orange Juice), a sentiment shared by the likes of Vice , The Deli, and NME — who labeled them a “Radar Tip of the Day.” Not bad for a band just three years old.  You can catch them live at Rough Trade NYC this month, but until then, be sure to peruse their favorite Brooklyn picks, below.

Record listened to most in your life: It’s a fan favorite, but The Strokes Is This It turned 13 this week. It might not be most, but it might as well be.

Brooklyn band to look out for: The Teen Age are our boys. If you like sand and concrete you’ll love them. Dead Stars are terrific. We caught Chumped at Gigawatts fest and they are catchy catchy catchy.

Fave place to see a show: Hands down, Baby’s All Right. Beautiful space, beautiful people – It’s so fun playing a place like that.

Fave Brooklyn bar: Lake Street in Greenpoint. The Midwest in New York.

Go-to drink: Negronis are perfect for the summer if your heart is as callous and bitter as ours.
