Skeleton Wearing Brooklyn Nets Gear Found In Prospect Park
Brooklyn is no stranger to guerilla artfare, but this project is on an entirely different plane of its own: Yesterday, a Prospect Park jogger came across what appeared to be a real human skeleton decked out in Brooklyn Nets gear.
Now, we know the Nets aren’t the greatest team, but the franchise certainly isn’t dead, though someone thinks otherwise. Today, police are investigating a gruesome tableau featuring a skeleton sporting a Nets cap, a t-shirt, sweatpants and googles with four paintings of flowers surrounding him/her.
Jogger Kate Steciw, who discovered the grim scene, told NBC New York, “I took a picture of it and then I got a queasy feeling, because it looked so, so real.” Immediately afterwards, Steciw called 911 and police removed the skeleton, which will undergo forensic analysis to determine whether it’s really human. In the meantime, the site of discovery is not being treated as a crime scene—yet.
