‘Orange Is The New Black’ Filming In Greenpoint on Friday
Here’s your chance to stalk the cast of Orange is The New Black: a flyer seen in Greenpoint says the Netflix smash will be filming in the neighborhood on Friday.
The no-parking sign was taped to a tree at 110 Green Street, which DNAinfo reports is prohibited by the city’s code of conduct for filmmakers. Film crew watchdog and neighborhood stalwart, Rolf Carle, requested the removal of the sign, and says wrongfully adhered notices by film crews are a regular headache. Brooklyn is so popular, guys.
The show centered on the lawbreaking ladies of Litchfield is currently taping its third season, and we all know those carefully-crafted flashbacks are shot in and around New York. The production company wouldn’t comment on the nature of the shoot; we could list off a heap of dubious predictions, but we won’t. The chance to meet (OK, realistically, ogle) Laverne Cox, Taylor Schilling, Uzo Aduba, or any of the OITNB cast is good enough for us! We’ll pass on Jason Biggs until he shapes up his Twitter act.
