Coming To: Crown Heights
Crown Heights residents will soon be on the receiving end of a lot of great new restaurants and cafes, but they’re also getting a little innovation with that, too: This year, a great new bakery will introduce the neighborhood to a novel concept known as the CSB or community-supported bakery. BK17, a private bakery from baker Sarah Owens, will offer rustic, European-style crusty loaves to local businesses as well as a club of sorts for bread enthusiasts who will be invited to pick up a fresh loaf from the bakery once a week and attend breadmaking classes.
