Daughter Found Living With Her Mother’s Corpse In Borough Park

In truly awful Brooklyn news, a mentally-ill woman living in Borough Park was found living with a corpse yesterday, following calls from concerned neighbors to the NYPD.
According to the Daily News, police were called to the home of 28-year-old Chava Stirn around 5 pm on Monday after she threatened to harm herself. Officers arrived at her 15th Avenue apartment and detained Stirn, then—while searching the apartment—responders came across the nearly year-old skeletal remains of a woman beneath a mountain of clutter. The body is thought to be that of Stirn’s 61-year-old mother, Susie Rosenthal.
Sources claim that Stirn and her mother both suffered from mental health issues and there were reports of foul odors coming from the apartment at the time the 911 call was made. While the medical examiner conducts an autopsy, Stirn will undergo psychiatric evaluation at a nearby medical facility. No arrests have been made yet.
