Horror Movie Starring Jemima Kirke To Film In Bushwick
The Times told us this was becoming a certifiable trend and for once, it’s right about what’s trendy: yet another movie crew is coming to Brooklyn to film its next project and this time, Bushwick has clinched a role in an upcoming indie horror flick.
Via DNAinfo, director Jordan Galland of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Undead-fame has chosen a warehouse at 225 Cook Street near Bogart for his new film, Ava’s Possession. In the film, the titular character becomes possessed by a demon while living at an apartment in the warehouse and subsequently gets shipped off to rehab.
The lead role will be played by Louisa Krause (Young Adult, Martha Marcy May Marlene) and will also feature Girls actress, Jemima Kirke in an as-yet-unknown role. Sean Lennon will score the film. Principal filming kicks off next Wednesday, taking no more than eight to nine days to complete. There’s no word yet on when the movie will be released.
