Good news for carb lovers in Bed-Stuy: the owners of beloved pizzeria, Saraghina, are opening a bakery.
“I have always been in love with bread,” co-owner Edoardo Mantelli told Grub Street yesterday and now that love is becoming very, very real. Next week, Mantelli will open Saraghina Bakery next door to his pizzeria. Using organic flour and natural leaveners, Mantelli & Co. will bake fresh loaves of Italian breads including ciabatta, pane di campagna, and focaccia. In addition to all that goodness, there will also be sandwiches, fresh pasta plates, pastries and coffee available.
