Park Slope's City Sub Has Closed (For Now)

First, Van Horn and now this? How many sandwich-related closings can a borough weather in one week?!

According to Eater NY, Park Slope’s City Sub, beloved by the likes of Pete Wells and A.O. Scott, has closed its doors. Originally, it was reported that the sandwich spot would temporarily close for renovations per a sign in the shop’s window, but now it seems like it’ll be a wholesale closure of that location.

Now, before we get too alarmed, word on the street is that instead of waiting out the impending renovations, City Sub will just move down the street. According to Here’s Park Slope, rumors are circulating that City Sub may just take over the space formerly occupied by Melt at 440 Bergen Street. That building has been under construction for some months.

Whatever the case, we hope the nearly 30 year old business reopens very soon. After all, they wouldn’t want to scare their many fans again:
