Barcade
Since 2004, Williamsburg’s Barcade has earned a solid reputation for its one-of-a-kind feel, cheap arcade games and singles-friendly environment. That’s why it’s sometimes hard to believe that there are actually multiple Barcades and even more to come. After successful openings in Philly and New Jersey, the bar’s four owners finally decided to spread Barcade’s roots to Manhattan this year and now, Manhattanites will find a new full-service location in Chelsea at 148 W. 24th Street with an East Village outpost at 6 St. Marks Place to follow. A lot is changing in the world of Barcade, but at least all the games are still 25 cents.
