Ditmas Park’s Market To Become A Craft Beer Shop
The times they are a-changin’.
Yesterday, we learned that Market, a “general provisions stockist” in Ditmas Park, is officially becoming a craft beer specialty shop to cater to a different kind of beer-loving customer.
According to Ditmas Park Corner, the shop, which sits down the block from beer haven Sycamore Flower Shop & Bar, will soon do away with the “hummus, baba ganoush, tomato sauce, punchim…all the other homemade goods…[and] specialty breads, pastas, condiments…,” trading all that in for artisanal beers, growlers, kegs and the type of weekly tastings that turn a shop into a destination.
Don’t worry, though, Ditmas Parkers, you’ll still be able to get cheese, meats, coffee and “beer-related snacks,” whatever those are.
The store will remain open during the transformation, though they’ll be opening later (12 p.m. Mon-Friday; 11 a.m. Sat-Sun) and closing earlier (9 p.m. Sun-Thurs; 10 p.m. Fri-Sat) once everything’s in place.
