Drizly Now Delivering Beer Throughout Brooklyn

Last week, we shared the news that Bed-Stuy Beer Works had started delivering beers, which is really, really great. The only set back was that Bed-Stuy Beer Works has a pretty limited scope. They’re only delivering to Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Southeast Williamsburg, Bushwick, Crown Heights, and Prospect Heights. What about the rest of us?
Enter Drizly, an alcohol delivery app that debuted in Manhattan and Brooklyn earlier this year. We put the app to the test last month and one of the few things we found seriously lacking was the absence of beer delivery. We in Brooklyn love our beer and no one was meeting that demand. Well, that’s no longer the case because Drizly just announced that they’re officially bringing beer to all the people starting today.
According to a press release from the tech company, Drizly will now deliver beers in their usual 20-40 minute time window in Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Hamptons, making the company the first to do so. The “mobile lifestyle app” will source beers from suppliers strategically located in Williamsburg and Park Slope.
We test drove the app from our Downtown Brooklyn office–for science, of course–and we have to say the pickings were not-so-slim. We were invited to choose from cult favorites like Stone Co., Green Flash and Victory and better-known brands like Abita, Allagash and Goose Island. Not bad. Not bad at all.
To conduct your own “experiment” head to iTunes App Store or Google Play to download Drizly for free. Just be 21+ or risk being embarrassed by their specialized ID authenticator. Otherwise, cheers!
