The 25 Best Houses in Brooklyn: A Highly Subjective List

Saitta House, 1135 84th Street, Dyker Heights
This place was built the same architect who designed Brooklyn’s “Japanese House” and other Prospect Park South wonders, and takes its name from its first owner, an Italian-born artichokes wholesaler. Unlike many of Dyker’s other architectural wonders, this one preserves much of its original character, which is much of the reason it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.
