It’s Not Just The G: The A, C, and F Will Be Fucked This Year Because of Sandy
Just a few weeks after we were reminded that parts of the G will be shut down for the entire month of August for Sandy-related repairs, DNAinfo reports that the A, C, and the F will also experience major shutdowns to address lingering storm damage.
The repairs will affect sections of the trains that run in between Brooklyn and Manhattan, and will likely happen sometime this winter, though the MTA hasn’t issued an exact time frame; work on the R has to be completed before they can start in, and that’s set to wrap by October. Officials note that the pending repairs “won’t require round-the-clock work” like the ones on the R, but they’re still likely to be a pretty major inconvenience. When everyone gets newly riled up about this in, say, November, don’t say we didn’t warn you.
