Another Lower East Side Business Comes to Brooklyn (And Is Throwing a Party Tonight)

In the ongoing flow of businesses between the Lower East Side and Brooklyn, another one to add to the pile: 7115 by Szeki, the flagship store for the new line by Szeki Chan, owner of eponymous LES boutique SZEKI.
Having run her Manhattan shop since 2008, Parsons alum Chan launched her own cult line of draped, silky basics back in 2012, and settled on Brooklyn for 7115’s standalone location (SZEKI will remain open at its longtime Rivington location). “Williamsburg has been happening for a long time now, but the retail scene is still up-and-coming and I really appreciate the way the community supports local businesses. I hope 7115 will fit in well and also bring something new to the neighborhood,” says Chan. The store, located at 223 Grand, is kicking things off with a launch party tonight between 7:30 and 10pm, so you can duck in and see things for yourself. No time like the present to use the weather as an excuse to start buying things.
