Spotted: Brooklyn Designer Dusen Dusen on Sunday’s Episode of Girls

Granted, there are a lot of possible takeaways from Sunday’s episode of Girls—not everyone can pull off a beanie, for one—but the biggest one may be that drinking with co-workers is sorely overrated. This is a true thing in general, but it’s especially true if it ends in you vomiting all over a dress as beautiful as the fruit print silk creation Hannah was wearing, which was designed by none other than Brooklyn’s own Dusen Dusen.
Big things were already happening for Ellen Van Dusen’s line when we profiled her back in September—it’d been picked up by Anthropologie, and Malia Obama had been spotted in one of the dresses—but we were especially excited to finally see her work show up on Girls after spotting it in promo shots that started circulating back in August. Congrats to Ellen, and props to the show’s costume department for supporting local talent.
