Normcore: Are We Doing It Right? Ranking Brooklyn Mag Staff From Least To Most Normcore
Upon hearing about a fun new trend called ‘normcore,’ we at Brooklyn Mag naturally wondered how we stacked up against the cool kids who rock Dad jeans and Birks without, you know, looking like your dad on vacation in the mid-90s. Most of what we discovered can be referred to as “unintentional normcore.”
Here are all the people who agreed to be photographed stylish, super on trend employees of Northside Media Group. How #normcore are they? See for yourself:
Audrey Schaefer, Account Executive
Normcore status: 7 1/2 Abercrombie-branded t-shirts under 5 North Face fleeces
Jenny Mills, Sales and Events Coordinator
Normcore status: 13.9 pairs of your mom’s Birkenstocks
Alex Aller, Sales & Executive Assistant and Lisa Brown, Assistant to the Publisher
Normcore status: 15.5 Patagonia vests with breast cancer awareness pins
Danielle DiPaolo, Senior Account Executive
Normcore status: 16.1 forward-facing Dodgers caps
Sarah Lutkenhaus, Senior Designer
Normcore status: 19 Teva sandals over white athletic socks
Mike Conklin, Editor in Chief
Normcore status: 23 pairs of faded Dad jeans
Jesse Smith, VP, Integrated Sales & Marketing

And our unequivocal office winner:
