Park Slope Has A Whole Lot Of Ashley Madison Clients
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the Post—who else?—has written up a helpful little report from Ashley Madison claiming that Park Slope is one of its top neighborhoods in all five boroughs.
The site, which facilitates affairs for married clients, claims that of its 840,300 members throughout the five boroughs (as well as Log Island and parts of Westchester County), 10 percent of them are based in Park Slope, and 6.4 percent are in Brooklyn Heights. Tribeca, Gramercy Park, and Hell’s Kitchen are also pretty popular, apparently.
Of course, they don’t seem to have released any further information about any of this—how many of the clients are male versus female, how many are actually married (the site has options for single people, too), anything like that. Why do that when you can just drop this perturbing (or funny, depending on your situation) statistic on the most stressful romantic holiday of the year, then quietly run away into the night? Anyway, something to consider. Something else to consider? This weird aside from their Wikipedia page: “The name of the site was created from two popular female baby names ‘Ashley’ and ‘Madison.'” Huh.
