Here’s A Nice Map Of All New York’s Rats (and Other Important Rat News)

Just hours after we learned of a ghost ship populated by nothing but diseased cannibal rats, we also learned, via the Daily Dot, that the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene has created these comprehensive, all-consuming data maps of all the rat information the city has to offer on its “Rat Information Portal” homepage.
It’s a real easy way to lose an entire hour, featuring, as it does, different sorting options, including neighborhood-by-neighborhood and specific addresses. If you want to belatedly find out the rat history of your building (and your neighbors’) now that you’re bound to stay there by a legal contract, by all means do so. Information is power, after all. Except when it’s just fear.
