A Second Polar Vortex Is Coming
Just in time for the weekend comes the unwelcome news, via Gothamist, that that “polar vortex” we all suffered through a couple weeks ago? It’s coming back.
A similar cold snap is expected to happen in the last couple weeks of the month, and like last time, will start in the midwest and get slightly (but only slightly) better by the time it reaches the northeast. “The pattern has the potential to produce days of near- to below-zero cold from the northern Plains to parts of the Midwest, more lasting cold in the Northeast and noteworthy episodes of cold over the interior South,” AccuWeather notes. “Prior to and during the main push of the coldest air later in the month in the East, there may be a large storm or two.”
Enjoy the days of not having to wear clothes under your clothes while they last.
