The conglomerate that is The Bowery Presents has set their sights on East Williamsburg, with plans to open a 2,000 capacity music venue tentatively called Brooklyn Classic. According to The Daily News, those living on or near Frost Street should keep an eye out, though there’s no official open date as of yet.
The concert hall will occupy a factory building that currently serves as the home of Eliou and Scopelitis Steel Fabrication. If everything works out (i.e. Community Board 1 approves their liquor license), Brooklyn Classic will become one of the largest concert venues in North Brooklyn, completely eclipsing the 600-capacity venues like the Brooklyn Bowl and Bowery Presents-owned Music Hall of Williamsburg.
