Congee at 86 Fu Kee: Bath Beach is beginning to rival Sunset Park as Brooklyn’s pre-eminent Chinatown, which means that steamed shrimp rolls and red bean buns are just as easy to find in the morning as ham, egg and cheese-filled bagels. And the selection of congee (rice porridge) at the red-bannered 86 Fu Kee is particularly extensive, topped with everything from fish balls and dried scallops to chopped beef, boiled chicken and pork belly (but please hold the thousand-year-old egg).
