There Is No L Train Between Brooklyn and Manhattan This Weekend

c/o nypost.com
There was probably a time when the L train being down between Manhattan and Brooklyn would have been a really rough thing for most north Brooklyn-dwellers. Where would they go? What would they do? How would they survive at all?
Well, those times are now long-gone (if, you know, they ever even existed in the first place), and probably most Williamsburg residents are breathing a little sigh of relief that this weekend, with service suspended between Manhattan and Brooklyn on the L, lines for brunch will be shorter, and bars will be wonderfully free of Bridge and Tunnel Manhattanites. North Brooklyn will belong to Brooklyn once again! Enjoy it while it lasts, everybody.
