This Week at SummerScreen: Speed!
Get behind the yellow line, and then get to McCarren Park; this week at SummerScreen we’re showing Speed!
Get there early because SHEA STADIUM is starting the evening with music from Dope Body, Hubble and GDFX. Thanks to Todd P and SHOWPAPER for bringing music to SummerScreen! Plus, we’ve got pre-show entertainment in store for you from Adult Swim and 55DSL. This week, Adult Swim will present a preview of The Heart, She Holler and 55DSL will present the short film Italy, Texas.
You’ll find the festivities at McCarren Park at the corner of Bedford Ave. and N. 12th St. (right next to the tennis courts). Gates open at 6pm, bands start at 6:30, and we’ll have Keanu up on the big screen by sundown. We’ll have food from Pizza Moto, Handsome Hanks, Landhaus, Coolhaus, V Spot and Selamat Pagi. Plus, Sixpoint Brewery and City Winery will be pouring beer and wine all night long. Looking for snacks on the cheap? vitaminwater and Crunch Fitness will be serving up complimentary treats too. And don’t forget to enter to win one of our two raffle prizes; we’re giving away a Meatwad pinata, courtesy of Adult Swim, plus a Summer Prize Pack including Havaianas flip flops, a beach ball, sun screen, playing cards, plus a mystery prize, courtesy of Zipcar.
