Bay Ridge: Falafel
Other than pizza, the falafel is probably the perfect drunk food. Cheap, filling, will just enough contrasting textures and flavors to remind you that you’re alive and drunk and that the world is wonderful, falafels are an amazing choice to make when you’re intoxicated. In fact, choosing to eat a falafel when you’re drunk is a reassurance that you haven’t destroyed all your brain cells. Some of them must be intact or you would be eating something not as good, like, I don’t know, corn on the cob. That is not a good drunk food at all. Anyway. A little while back, Henry Stewart hand-picked the best falafels in Bay Ridge, and I have to recommend that everyone who finds themselves drunk and in Bay Ridge should go to Hazar and get one of the falafel. And then eat it, stumbling around, praying that the R train is running at 11 on a Saturday night. Probably it’s not. But you have your falafel, so everything is going to be just fine.
