This Week at SummerScreen: Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, Plus Music from Oberhofer and Lodro!
This Wednesday, head to McCarren Park and tell ’em that Large Marge sent you; we’re showing Pee Wee’s Big Adventure at SummerScreen!
And if there’s one week you won’t want to miss the music, it’s this one. We’re starting the evening with sets from Oberhofer, Lodro and Bueno, presented by JMC Aggregate. Thanks to Todd P and SHOWPAPER for bringing music to this year’s SummerScreen! We’ll be in our usual spot—Bedford Ave and N. 12th St (right next to the tennis courts). Gates open at 6, the bands start at 6:30, and we’ll have the movie started by sundown.
Pizza Moto, Handsome Hanks, Landhaus, Coolhaus, V Spot and Selamat Pagi will be there all night to keep you fed. And, Sixpoint Brewery and City Winery will be there to keep your thirst at bay. Plus, Starbucks® Iced Coffee, vitaminwater and Crunch Gym will be on site to serve up some complimentary treats. And, for the final surprise of the evening, Ride Brooklyn will be raffling off a brand new bicycle! For your chance to win, just give your name and e-mail address at The L Magazine’s table; we’ll announce the winner right before the movie starts. Get there early and don’t miss the pre-show; before the movie, we’ll show a preview of NTSF:SD:SUV::, presented by Adult Swim and Beyond Mountains, More Mountains, a short film by CANADA, presented by 55DSL.
