The Rockabus Has Added Two New Routes
Just ahead of Memorial Day Weekend, the operators of Rockabus announced in a press release this morning that in addition to the usual pickup location in Williamsburg, this year’s service will include two new routes from Grand Army Plaza, on Flatbush near the Brooklyn Public Library, and the Lower East Side, near the 2nd Avenue F stop. All buses will be traveling nonstop every hour to Rockaway Beach and Jacob Riis Park on Saturdays and Sundays. They’ve also been busy picking out this year’s road music.
Per the release:
“Music will continue to play an important part of the Rockabus experience this summer. In addition to upgrading every bus in the Rockabus fleet to include stereo systems, different DJ’s and music bloggers have been selected to curate unique mixtapes for each weekend. To kick things off for the summer, the mixtape for this week will be provided by the Australian duo, Flight Facilities.”
Not that you necessarily needed another excuse to get yourself to the beach every single weekend for the rest of the summer, but, you know, this is a pretty good one.
