After A Massive Fire, Oslo Re-Opens Today With Free Coffee

Some of the best news we’ve heard in a while: following a major fire that more or less ravaged the place back in January, the Bedford Avenue location of Oslo is officially back open for business, starting today. And with free coffee, no less.
Owner J.D. Merget told Gothamist earlier today, “Everything’s free. Actually, not everything—just the coffee,” noting that the shop will close early at 2 p.m. today, but will be open for normal hours starting tomorrow.
So go, get a coffee, tip a lot more than you usually might, take a minute to think about how nice it is that, thanks in part to strong community support, a company we all love managed to bounce back from something unexpected and terrible. See? So nice.
