Fleet Week Without the Fleets: 8 Ways You Can Still Celebrate
Even if you never, ever participated in Fleet Week (this seems like a lot of people I know? geez guys) it is, on principal, pretty sad that it won’t be happening this year. And all because of sequestration! What was once a nice, fun activity for sailors, marines, and anyone else looking for an excuse to party, is no more. At least, no more in 2013.
Which is unacceptable. Every tradition, regardless of your actual ties to it, should be upheld at all costs, right? I think so. So, even if the sailors aren’t in town, why not blow off your other responsibilities and make sure they’re here in spirit? We’ve come up with a foolproof itinerary.
