Where Are the Most Rats in Brooklyn?
The good folks at Gothamist have once again assembled 311 data to create a handy interactive map. This time they chart not noise complaints but rat sightings. Noise complaints tend to be lodged from not just from the noisiest neighborhoods but also from the nicest—from the people who expect peace and quiet. (Generally, the rich!) Is the same true of rat complaints? I’m inclined to think their number correlates more accurately with actual rat infestations, at least in Brooklyn.
